1998  
  10 Oct Formation of the West Country Historic Omnibus & Transport Trust for the purpose of preserving West Country commercial vehicles, artefacts and archives for the benefit of present and future generations.
1999    
  26 May Trust registered as Limited company.
2000  
  26 Mar Application accepted as a registered charity.
  May Trust formally announced at Transport 2000 in Newton Abbot.
  May A927 MDV (Devon General 7) on long term loan from Harry Blundred.
  Dec TDV 217J (Exeter City Transport 217) donated to the Trust by First Western National.
2001  
  Feb - Jun WHOTT Mobile Museum - TDV 217J - Exeter City Transport No. 217. During this period Exeter No 217 was transformed into the WHOTT Mobile Museum. Click here to find out more details.
  Jun Web site launched.
  Oct C801 FRL (Western National 6104) donated by First Western National.
2002  
  Feb AFJ 727T (First Southern National 3307) donated by First Southern National.

  14 Sep Royal Blue Running Day from Taunton to Ilfracombe and return.

2004  
  Jan AFJ 764T (First Somerset & Avon 38764) donated by First Somerset and Avon.
  May WHOTT held its first Drive-a-Bus Day at Westpoint.

  Mar Archive activity established at Westpoint.

Throughout the year there has been 50 archive days and 90 vehicle restoration days.

Between Easter and the end of September one vehicle and one display cabinet of archive material was put on permanent display at the World of Country Life, Sandy Bay, Exmouth
