DEVON RESTORATION DAYS

Location: Loddiswell

AEC Matador Tow Truck - Western National No. RV8 - PFJ 850M.

RV8 has been repainted back into yellow service vehicle livery. Restoration continues on this vehicle.

Mercedes L608D - First Western National No. 104 - C801 FRL and No.106 C949 GAF

The first project will be to select one of the two for restoration and then concentrate on this vehicle using parts from either. The future of the other vehicle is undecided at this point

Exterior restoration and mechanical work is now complete and attention is being focussed on sprucing up the interior to restore it to original condition.

Leyland PD2A - Exeter City Transport No. 86 - 86 GFJ.

New to Exeter in 1963, this is one of 25 similar vehicles which were the last double deck type bought by Exeter Corporation.

Ford Transit 190D - Devon General No. 705 - C705 FFJ

Originally new to Devon General Ltd in January 1986 and later transferred to Exeter Bus Co. This was the first blue and silver vehicle.

Bristol LH6L - First Southern National 3307 - AFJ 727T.

One of 24 originally supplied to Western National and Devon General, which were built to this special width for narrow road frequently encountered in the West Country. Click on the picture for more details.
