ARCHIVE DAYS

WHOTT Archives.  

The facility is open to anyone interested in cataloguing a large and important collection of transport material.  On occasions the archive is open on other days during the week.  The dates have been selected to accommodate people with Saturday or Sunday preferences and at the same time trying to avoid dates when other events are on where WHOTT is involved.  There could be some changes at the last minute but every effort is made to honour the above dates.

Access:  The archive is situated within a very secure building at the Airport Business Centre, in Thornbury Road, Estover, Plymouth.  There are ample car parking and toilet facilities and a cafeteria functions during the week.  Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the archive room.  To gain access a mobile phone call is necessary from the car park – the number to ring in the first instance being 07974 – 567756.  

Note: On each dates a car will travel from Exeter to Plymouth and some seats may be available for those wanting to share or have no transport of their own.  Time spent at the Estover archive is usually from 09.30 to 18.00 and an hour for travelling should be allowed either side, so a day from Exeter is usually 08.30 – 19.00.  Those wishing to travel independently can arrive and leave whenever they like. There is no expectancy to devote an entire day, though many people do!
